Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) will have all eight shows running in repertory when it opens its final show, "G.I. Jive" on Friday, July 30 at 8 p.m. in the DeWitt Theatre.

"G.I. Jive" is an original production by Fred Tessler, who has created HSRT's popular cabaret shows. The show premiered in the cabaret format during the 2000 season, and Tessler has expanded the show for its mainstage debut. Original cast members, equity guest artists Chip DuFord and Quincy Marr, return for the new version. They are joined by longtime HSRT favorite, equity artist Susan Ericksen in her only stage appearance this summer.

Michaun Burton, who has appeared in the past two cabaret shows, joins the cast along with Jason Miller, Lawren Roulier and Kaci Gober.

Tessler is also directing "G.I. Jive," and Meribeth Kisner is returning to the show to again handle choreography.

"G.I. Jive" runs on July 30, 31, August 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 14.

While at the box office, be sure to reserve tickets for the other great HSRT mainstage shows, including the musical "Bye Bye Birdie," the Tony-award winning comedy, "Art," and George Bernard Shaw's comedy "Arms and the Man." HSRT's "second stage" show is a funny and touching look at Little League baseball coaches in "Rounding Third," which has added shows by popular demand, while Holland's Park Theatre is home to HSRT's popular cabaret offering, "All Night Diner." The Children's Performance Troupe is presenting Jon Scieszka's "The Stinky Cheese Man" and Louis Sachar's "Sideways Stories from Wayside School."

The ticket office is located in the DeWitt Center, on the Hope College campus, at the corner of 12th Street and Columbia Avenue in Holland. Prices range from $8-$25 for musicals, and $8-$18 for plays. Cabaret show tickets are all $22. Ticket office hours are 10 a.m-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and one hour before all showtimes. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 616-395-7890.
