Awards for outstanding performances in men's soccer for the 2004 season have been announced by coach Steve Smith.

The Flying Dutchmen posted a 15-5 season record, finishing second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings.

Junior Devin McNeil of Lansing, Mich. (DeWitt HS) was honored as the team's most valuable offensive player while junior Geoff Meyer of Grand Rapids, Mich. (Forest Hills Northern HS) was recognized as the most valuable defensive player. They were also named co-captains of the 2005 team.

Junior Kevin Butterfield of Zanesville, Ohio (Zanesville HS) was honored as the most improved player and senior Tyler Basler of Auburn (Bay City Western) was chosen the most inspirational.
