Brian W. Dykstra has joined the Hope College staff as director of the "Hope Fund."

He assumed his new responsibilities in April. He was previously a financial advisor with Family Capital Management.

The Hope Fund solicits ongoing, unrestricted financial support from alumni, corporations, churches, parents and friends for operations and programs at the college. Gifts to the Hope Fund totaled more than $3 million per year during each of the past two fiscal years.

Dykstra is a 1998 graduate of Hope, where he majored in business administration. Since graduating he also held positions as a commercial credit analyst with Macatawa Bank and as a financial advisor with Centennial Securities.

A resident of Grandville, he is a volunteer with Grand Rapids West Young Life Fundraising and with Meals on Wheels. He and his wife, Jennifer, who is also a 1998 Hope graduate, are members of First Reformed Church of Grandville, where they are volunteer leaders of the Senior High Youth Group.
