Chiara Savage, a Hope College senior from Kailua, Hawaii, will perform the grand concert harp for her Senior Recital on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The program will feature seven works: "Sonatina No. 7," by F.J. Naderman; "Arioso," by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed with cellist Keirsten Schwanbeck, a senior from Williamsport, Pa.; "Clair De Lune," by Claude Debussy; "Three Dances: Seguidilla, Tango and Rumba," by Carlos Salzedo; "Sonata in C Minor," by Giovanni Battista Pescetti; "Et Ron, Ron Petit Patapon," by Marcel Grandjany; and "Siciliana," by Ottorino Respighi.

A music performance major at Hope, Savage has been playing the harp for 13 and a half years. Her harp teacher at Hope has been Lorraine Alberts. After graduation in May she intends to pursue a master's degree in music performance in California.

Her activities at the college have included the orchestra, the Delta Phi sorority, the Pom pon club, cheerleading and Hope Republicans. A 2002 graduate of Woodland Park High School in Colorado, she is the daughter of John and Gabrielle Savage of Kailua.
