The annual Juried Student Show at Hope College will open in the gallery of the De Pree Art Center on Monday, Dec. 5, with a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

A total of 27 students have pieces in the exhibition. Works range from traditional media such as drawing, photography and painting, to multimedia sculptural installations.

All Hope students were eligible to submit work in any media. Jeremy Jernegan, professor of art at Tulane University, juried the exhibition.

The students with work in the exhibition are: Rachel Achtemeier, a senior from Dubuque, Iowa; Amy Back, a senior from Brookville, Ind.; Amanda Berlinski, a senior from Worth, Ill.; Alison Bouwer, a junior from West Olive; Bo Buckley, a sophomore from Caro; Isaac M. Bush, a freshman from Muskegon; Rebecca DeGraw, a sophomore from Marshall; Autumn Divers, a sophomore from Wexford, Pa.; and Holly Dustin, a senior from Contoocook, N.H.

Also, Andrew Essink, a senior from Holland; Dustin Fiddler, a senior from Ada; Jess Gipson, a junior from Western Springs, Ill.; Clarissa Gregory, a senior from Portage, Wis.; Allison Hawkins, a freshman from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Emma Irvine, a senior from Rochester, N.Y.; Laura Kinnas, a junior from Orland Park, Ill.; Ashley Kohlbeck, a sophomore from Ada; and Victoria Langshaw, a junior from Delton.

And, Elise Mattingly, a sophomore from Bowling Green, Ohio; Peter Mattson, a junior from Glen Ellyn, Ill.; Derek Nevenzel, a junior from Holland; Danielle Nguyen Quang, a non-degree student from Holland; Cameron Schuler, a junior from Albion; Emily Southard, a sophomore from Alexandria, Ohio; Sandie Timmer, a senior from Holland; Kyle Waterstone, a junior from Holland; and Jonathan White, a senior from Holland.

The exhibition will continue through Friday, Jan. 20. The gallery will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 6-7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.; and on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, the gallery will be open on weekdays only, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery will be closed from Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Jan. 2.
