Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Women's basketball coach Brian Morehouse has been named the Great Lakes region coach of the year by d3hoops.com. In his 10th season as coach of the Flying Dutch, Morehouse has guided this year's team to a conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Final Four.

Over the past decade the Flying Dutch are 232-51 (82%) with five appearances in the NCAA Division III tournament. In 2001-02 and again in 2002-03 Morehouse was voted the District Coach of the Year by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and in 2001-02 the Michigan Collegiate women's basketball coach of the year by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan.

He entered the 2005-06 season ranked eighth among active NCAA Division III coaches by winning percentage. Coach Morehouse Biography
