The national championship won by the Hope College women's basketball team will be officially marked on Wednesday, April 12, when the college hosts a celebration at the DeVos Fieldhouse.

Open to the public free of charge, the program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Flying Dutch won the NCAA Division III championship back on March 18th.  When the team returned the next day they were greeted by hundreds of fans at the Tulip City airport, but Hope was just starting its annual spring break. The official celebration was pushed back to allow greater attendance from the college and Holland communities.

The team will be honored by college, local, state and national dignitaries.  The team's accomplishments will be featured in an audio visual presentation.  Refreshments will be provided and the players will be available for pictures and autographs.
