Four Hope players have received women's soccer all-conference honors from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) coaches.

Four Hope players have received women's soccer all-conference honors from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) coaches.

Named to the All-MIAA first team were sophomore midfielder Allison Van Beek of Libertyville, Ill. (Libertyville HS) and junior forward Sarah Cochrane of Watertown, Wisc. (Watertown HS).

Receiving second team All-MIAA recognition were senior goalkeeper Holly Nestle of Mason, Mich. (Mason HS) and sophomore defenders Ellen Molenaar of Portage, Mich. (Portage Central HS).

Receiving coaches' honorable mention were junior Ellie Tresslar of Bloomington, Ind. (Bloomington HS) and sophomore Sonya Masghati of Naperville, Ill. (Naperville Central HS).

The Flying Dutch, coached by Leigh Sears, finished second in the MIAA standings and advanced to the championship game of the conference tournament before bowing to rival Calvin.  The team posted a 9-8-2 record, including 6-4-1 in the MIAA.
