Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Several Hope College students will participate in an opera workshop on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will feature Gilbert and Sullivan's "Iolanthe" with scenes from the second act. Seniors Isaac Droscha and Kelly Sina will be joined by junior Katie Ross and sophomore Andrew Franks.

The opera workshop is directed by Greg Frens, visiting assistant professor of music.

The workshop format allows for selections from longer operas to be performed with minimal staging.

Nykerk Hall of Music is located at the former 177 E. 12th St. between College and Columbia avenues.
