Hope College will feature pianist Alexandra Mascolo-David on Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
In addition, she will also be featured during a piano masterclass in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music on Thursday, March 8, at 11 a.m.

The public is invited to both events. Admission is free.

Mascolo-David has performed and led workshops and master classes in Europe, China and the Americas, including a New York debut recital at Carnegie Hall in May 2004.

"Alexandra Mascolo-David is a splendid pianist-refined, searching and expressive, and her playing is loaded with insight and interpretive detail," "The Washington Post" has said.

Mascolo-David recently performed in the area for the Fontana Chamber Arts Summer Festival in Kalamazoo, and for the Irving S. Gilmore Summer Camp with Brazilian pianist Rubia Santos, with whom she founded the "Belle Donne" piano duo. Mascolo-David has taught at the Interlochen Arts camp and at Iowa State University, and currently is an associate professor of piano at Central Michigan University. She has received numerous prizes and awards, including the First Prize in the Piano Competition of Braga, Portugal, and the Provost's Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity from Central Michigan University.

In addition to her performances and teaching, Mascolo-David has also recorded several compact discs which have received strong reviews.
