Hope College will host performers from the Illinois Chamber Music Festival, including Hope College faculty member Mihai Craioveanu, on Thursday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will feature several artists who perform and teach every summer at the Illinois Chamber Music Festival.

The performers will be violinist Craioveanu, professor of music at Hope; pianist Mark Clinton, faculty member at the University of Nebraska; and cellist Nina Gordon and violist Lisa Nelson, both faculty members at IllinoisWesleyanUniversity.

The group will be joined by violinist Deborah Craioveanu in a program consisting of the "Piano Quintet in A Major op. 81" by Antonin Dvorak, "Piano Trio in C major, K. 548" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and "Saraband with Variations" by Handel-Halvorsen.

The Illinois Chamber Music Festival is held every summer on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University, where it brings together many fine performers and artist-teachers from around the country and abroad. This year's festival roster includes performers and faculty from the University of New York, University of Minnesota, Illinois State University, HopeCollege, University of Nebraska, Illinois Wesleyan University, DePaul University and Sofia State Conservatory in Bulgaria, as well as members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
