Hope College will feature classical guitarist Mathew Deely on Saturday, April 12, at 8 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

Deely is a classical guitarist from Indianapolis, Ind., at the onset of his performance career. He is a recent graduate from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where he worked as a graduate assistant under the renowned pedagogue Clare Callahan. He has also studied with distinguished artists Oscar Ghilia, Manuel Barueco, Flavio Cucchi, and Brett Terrell. He has won several awards including a full scholarship to the College Conservatory of Music at UC and the Madge Catchert award in performance, and was a finalist in the National Association of Music Schools solo competition.

Nykerk Hall of Music is located in the central Hope campus at the former 177 E. 12th St. between College and Columbia avenues.
