The Hope Summer Repertory Theatre continues its 37th season with "Doubt, A Parable" by Patrick Shanley on July 18. 

Winner of a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award, "Doubt" is a thriller that is sure to make you think.  'Time Out Chicago' calls it "An eloquent and provocative investigation of truth and consequences. A gripping mystery, tightly written." 

The story takes place in the Bronx in 1964 and follows the lives of a very conservative nun and a more laid back priest who have very different ideas about how their school should be run.  Conflict arises when Sister Aloysius questions the way that Father Flynn treats one of the students.

The talented cast of four includes Susan Ericksen as Sister Aloysius, Rachel Rosado as Sister James, Julianne Bouwens as Mrs. Muller, and David Studwell as Father Flynn. 

Director James Daniels has acted at such theatres as Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, the Oregon Shakespearean Festival, the Cleveland Play House, Missouri Repertory Theatre, the Houston Shakespeare Festival, the Asolo Theatre of Florida, Shakespeare on the Green/Chicago, Pennsylvania Centre Stage, as well as at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, Indiana.

Tickets have already gone on sale at both the DeVos Fieldhouse and the DeWitt Theatre Ticket Office.  Prices range from $8-$26 for plays and season tickets range from $45-$85.

The ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, is open on Saturday, noon to five. On performance dates, the DeWitt Ticket Office will be open through intermission.  The ticket office is located in the DeWitt Cultural Center at 12th Street and Columbia Avenue. The DeWitt Theatre is located at 141 East 12th Street.  While 12th Street is under construction, the DeWitt and Martha Miller Center parking lots are both accessible from the North.
