The Hope College Wind Symphony will be presenting "An Electoral Concert" on Monday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The show will open with "The People's Choice March" by Douglas Moore and continue with "George Washington Bridge," by William Schuman. Next will be "Concertino," by Carl Maria von Weber, followed by "Old Wine in New Bottles," by Gordon Jacob. Following will be "Concerto for Trombone and Military Band," by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, "Lincoln Portrait," by Aaron Copland.  Closing the night will be "Stars and Stripes Forever," by John Phillip Sousa.

Hope College President James Bultman will be narrating "Lincoln Portrait." The show will also feature a trombone solo by faculty member Dan Spencer and a clarinet solo by faculty member Joel Schekman.

In addition to the concert, the audience will be given a chance to vote for "candidates" Dan Spencer from the Brass Party and Joel Schekman from the Woodwind Party, who both will be giving short speeches.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
