A series of non-partisan roundtable events exploring issues related to the forthcoming November elections in the context of faith will continue at Hope College with a discussion of health care on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Maas Center auditorium.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The event will include Hope faculty members Paulette Chaponniere (nursing), David Cunningham (CrossRoads Project and religion), John Lunn (economics) and Jeff Polet (political science), and will be moderated by Hope sophomore Nate Bult of Jenison.  Each faculty member will present an overview of how faith shapes his or her perspective of the topic, with town-hall-format discussion to follow.

"Bound in a Common Life: Hope's Election Roundtable '08" began on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with a discussion of national security.  The series will conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 28, with environmental and energy policy, also in the Maas Center auditorium.  The roundtable discussions are sponsored by the college's department of political science and chapter of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honorary society.

The Maas Center is located at 264 Columbia Ave., on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street.
