The Hope College Ballet Club will present its own rendition of the holiday favorite "The Nutcracker" on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The director of the Ballet Club, senior Sarah Williams of Indianapolis, Ind., noted that the performance is a collaboration of the work of several choreographers, all bringing with them their own varied histories with the beloved holiday ballet.

"All of our dancers are really excited to perform, and I am just so proud of how everyone is coming together to make the ballet possible," she said.  "It should be a fun and exciting performance that everyone should attend."

The Hope College Ballet Club is a student organization dedicated to exploring the spirit of ballet, increasing its members' technical efficiency through classical ballet, and considering the role that ballet plays in today's dance world through experiencing contemporary and original works rooted in ballet.

The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. Eighth St.
