The Hope College Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland will present the film "I've Loved You So Long" on Monday and Tuesday, April 13 and 14, and Thursday-Saturday, April 16-18, at 7:30 p.m.

Léa (Elsa Zylberstein) and Juliette (Kristin Scott Thomas) are sisters, but nearly complete strangers. Léa was still a teenager when Juliette, a doctor, was sent off to prison. Now Juliette has been released and Léa has invited her to live with her and her family. Reservations on both sides create an uncomfortable situation as Juliette adjusts to her new life and the family's strength is tested.
"I've Loved You So Long" is a Golden Globe, three-time BAFTA and five-time Cesar Award-nominated 2008 French film, in addition to many other film festival awards.
Of the film, Pete Hammond of Hollywood.com has said, "Brilliant! The must-see movie of 2008. Kristin Scott Thomas' moving and luminous performance has raw power that is almost indescribable. This transcends acting. It's life."
The film is rated PG-13 and is in French with English subtitles.
Tickets are $6 for regular admission and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased at the door or at the ticket office in the main lobby of the DeVos Fieldhouse, which is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be called at (616) 395-7890.
The DeVos Fieldhouse is located at 222 Fairbanks Ave., between Ninth and 11th streets. The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. Eighth St.
