Hope College will present its annual Spring Student Dance Concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14-15, at the Dow Center dance studio and on Monday and Tuesday, April 20-21, at 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The concerts feature works choreographed and danced by Hope College students. Although many of them are dance majors and minors, not all students involved in the concerts are conducting studies in the department of dance.

The Advanced Composition class will also contribute pieces to the Student Dance Concert.

In addition, individual works choreographed by the Composition I class will be premiered.  The class is a semester-long course taught by Steven Iannacone that involves students in aspects of production including adjudication of dance pieces, costuming, props, collaborative choreography, and performance.

Starting this year, all student works will be presented at the Dow concert and will proceed to the Knickerbocker by consent of three guest adjudicators.

The Knickerbocker Theater is located at 86 E. Eighth St. The Dow Center dance studio is on the second floor of the Dow Center, located at 168 E. 13th St. on the corner of 13th Street and Columbia Avenue.
