Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Three members of the cross country teams have been named to the Division III All-Region team.

Athletes who finish in the top 35 at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional are declared all-region honorees.

Hope athletes honored and their finish at the Regional meet are senior Matt Wiersum of Minnetonka, Minn. (Minnetonka HS), 18th in men's 8K; junior Emily Fischer of Naperville, Ill. (Naperville Central HS), 25th in women's 6K; and sophomore Kate Nelson of Wiliamston (Williamston HS), 31st in women's 6K.

The Flying Dutch finished sixth in the women's regional while the Flying Dutchmen were tenth among the men. Both teams, coached by Mark Northuis, were second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings.
