A symposium scheduled by the college's new student entrepreneurial group and focused on entrepreneurialism will feature a variety of speakers on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Maas Center.

A symposium scheduled by the college's new student entrepreneurial group and focused on entrepreneurialism will feature a variety of speakers on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Maas Center.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The speakers will include Roger Veldman, associate professor of engineering; Jim Boyle, director of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute; and Rob Bell, founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandville.  The event will be coordinated by Adam Loveless, a senior from Middleville who is the Hope student organization's leader.

The symposium has been scheduled in conjunction with international Global Entrepreneurship Week, which runs Monday-Sunday, Nov. 16-22.  It also precedes the third annual Lakeshore's Next Entrepreneur competition, which is sponsored by Lakeshore Advantage and open to all area college students, and will be held at the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication at Hope the next day.

The Maas Center is located at 264 Columbia Ave., on Columbia Avenue at 11th Street.
