Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

On-campus memorial services have been determined for the two Hope College students, Emma E. Biagioni of St. Charles, Ill. and David O. Otai of Nairobi, Kenya, who died in a plane crash on Jan. 17.

A memorial service giving witness to the life of Emma E. Biagioni will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7:15 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel on the campus of Hope College. Members of the Hope community will participate in the service.

A worship memorial service giving witness to the life of David O. Otai will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel on the campus of Hope College. The service will be part of the college's Sunday evening Gathering. David's local pastor, the Rev. John Mondi of Grand Rapids, will be the guest preacher.
