Flying Dutch Ranked in Pre-Season DIII Poll
The Flying Dutch are ranked fourth in the pre-season Division III poll of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). A year ago coach Becky Schmidt's Dutch advanced to the final four of the NCAA Division III championships and posted a school-record 34 victories. Defending national champion Washington-St. Louis is top-ranked in the pre-season poll followed by Juniata, Pa. and Emory, Ga. MIAA rival Calvin is ranked ninth.

CROSS COUNTRY
Flying Dutch Ranked High in Region
The Flying Dutch are ranked second in the Great Lakes region among NCAA III women's cross country teams according to a pre-season poll by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Great Lakes region consists of teams from 37 Division III institutions. MIAA rival Calvin is the top-ranked team in the pre-season poll.

A year ago the Flying Dutch finished second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and were sixth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.

The Flying Dutchmen are not ranked among the top ten men's team in the Great Lakes pre-season poll. The top-ranked men's team is Calvin. A year ago the Hope men finished second in the MIAA and were 10th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.

Hope College will host the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, Nov. 13.
