The Hope College Wind Ensemble will present a concert during the college's Family Weekend on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The ensemble will be presenting pieces from its Halloween Concert:  "Apocalyptic Dreams," by Gillingham; "Kah! Out of Darkness," by Wilson; "Ave Verum Corpus," by Mozart; and a suite of pieces from "Doctor Who," by Gold.

The Hope College Wind Ensemble, the premier wind group on campus, performs a wide variety of music, from standard works, to cutting-edge 20th century works, to chamber pieces.  The Wind Ensemble presents or participates in several concerts each year, including not only the annual Halloween Concert but also the all-department Musical Showcase at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids each spring semester and other off-campus concerts.  The group also tours every other year.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
