Five members of the NCAA-bound Hope volleyball team have
been presented all-conference honors by the Michigan Intercollegiate
Athletic Association (MIAA).

Coach Becky Schmidt's Flying Dutch were co-champions with rival Calvin
in the MIAA this season and have advanced to the NCAA Division III
championships by winning the conference tournament title this weekend.
The Flying Dutch have a 26-4 season record and will enter regional
play next weekend with a 19-match winning streak.

Senior middle hitter Jacie Fiedler (Richmond, Ill./Richmond Burton HS)
and sophomore setter Greer Bratschie (Grand Rapids/East Grand Rapids
HS) were first team honorees. Fiedler is a two-time All-MIAA first
team honoree.

Voted to the All-MIAA second team were senior outside hitter Cassidy
Bulthuis (Nunica/Spring Lake HS), senior middle hitter Kara
VandeGuchte (Hamilton/Hamilton HS), and sophomore libero Jessica Maier
