The Hope College Symphony Orchestra will perform on Friday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The program will open with the "Dance of Comedians" from "The Bartered Bride," by Smetana. Continuing with the program, Dorival Puccini, instructor of trumpet at Hope, will perform the "Arutunian Trumpet Concerto." To close the program, the orchestra will perform the "Symphony No. 5 in e minor" by Tchaikovsky.
Richard Piippo, who is an associate professor of cello and chamber music at the college, conducts the orchestra. He has taught at Hope since 1999.
Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
