The opening Hope College Orchestra concert for the 2011-12 season will feature work by Sullivan, Mozart and Brahms on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel. 

The public is invited. Admission is free. 

To open the program, the orchestra will perform the Overture to the "Mikado," by Arthur Sullivan. The orchestra will next perform "Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550," by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. To close the program, the orchestra will perform "Variations on a Theme by Haydn, Op. 56a," by Johannes Brahms. 

The Hope College Orchestra is directed by Richard Piippo, associate professor of music. 

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
