The Hope College Orchestra will perform on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will open with the "Overture to Coriolanus," by Ludwig van Beethoven. Next on the concert, soprano Caitlin McDougall, who is a senior from Flint, will be joined by 10 cellos from the orchestra in Heitor Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 for soprano and orchestra of violoncelli." To conclude the concert, the orchestra will perform the "Symphony No. 5, in D major, Op. 107" (the "Reformation Symphony"), by Felix Mendelssohn.

The Hope College Orchestra is directed by Richard Piippo, associate professor of music.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
