Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Outstanding Contribution (a player who has given the most of themselves to the program and her teammates): Jackie Canonaco, senior from Arlington Heights, Ill. (Prospect HS)

Eye of the Tiger (a player who performed under pressure and whose consistency made a significant impact on the teams success): Greer Bratschie, junior from Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS)

Most Improved Player: Jillian Sommerville, freshman from Plymouth (Salem HS)

The 2011 Flying Dutch, coached by Becky Schmidt, posted a 25-7 record, finished second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings and competed in the NCAA Division III championships for the fourth consecutive year.
