The combined choirs of Hope College will perform with special guest Alfred V. Fedak on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

Fedak, who is a 1975 Hope graduate, is an accomplished organist and composer who serves as minister of music and arts at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany, N.Y.  The concert will feature his piece “For Us the Living: A Requiem,” written in 2007 to commemorate the lives of William and Ethel Lamere.  Fedak will be at the concert to accompany the choirs at the organ.

Other pieces on the program include a collection of folksong arrangements by Gilbert Martin, Cecil Effinger, James Mulholland and David Dickau.  An arrangement of the Newfoundland folksong “Feller from Fortune” will complete the set.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
