The Flying Dutch will open play in the NCAA Division III women's tennis championships by competing in a regional to be hosted by DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. beginning Thursday, May 8.

The Flying Dutch will open play in the NCAA Division III women's tennis championships by competing in a regional to be hosted by DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. beginning Thursday, May 8.

Hope (18-7) will face Coe, Iowa (21-3) on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the winner meeting Carnegie-Mellon, Pa. (16-5) on Friday.

The other teams in the regional include host DePauw (17-6), Wheaton, Ill. (19-2) and Webster, Mo. (19-2).

Coached by Nate Price, Hope is making its seventh team appearance in the NCAA championships. The Flying Dutch were champions of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) with a perfect 8-0 league dual match record and won the conference tournament to gain an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III championship.
