Hope senior pitcher Adam Clements of Saline (Saline HS) has been named to two All-Mideast Region baseball teams. He is a first team honoree by the website D3baseball.com and for the second consecutive year a second team selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

The all-region teams recognize outstanding Division III players from schools in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Clements went into the Hope baseball records as its winningest pitcher, posting a career record of 25-7. Voted the most valuable pitcher in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) this spring, he tied the Hope single season mark for victories (8-2) and ended with the career mark for complete games pitched (21). His earned run average this season was 2.36. Clements ended among the career pitching leaders in several categories including innings pitched, ERA, fewest walks and most strikeouts per game. With eight complete games in 10 starts this season, he ranked seventh among all NCAA Division III pitchers.

An engineering major at Hope, Clements is a 2008 graduate of Saline High School. He is the son of Tom and Tami Clements of Ann Arbor.
