Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference honors have been announced in fall sports.

MEN'S SOCCER
Three members of the Hope men's soccer team have been named to the all-conference teams of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Juniors Grant Neil of Holland (West Ottawa HS) and Jason Muller of Petoskey (Petoskey HS) have been named to the All-MIAA first team. Senior Luke Dishnow of Saline (Saline HS) was named to the All-MIAA second team and honored as the co-recipient with Dane Macdonell of Kalamazoo of the league's Dr. Marv Zuidema award. The award honors a senior athlete for contribution to team play, leadership qualities, demonstration of ethical virtues and excellence in athletics and academics.

CROSS COUNTRY
All-MIAA honors were presented to eight cross country athletes. Recognition was determined by athletes' combined finishes in the conference jamboree and season-ending championship meet.

Achieving first team honors are junior Camille Borst of Allendale (Allendale HS), senior Sharon Hecker of Grandville (Grandville HS), junior Sam Pederson of Mt. Prospect (Mt. Prospect HS), and senior Blake Rottschafer of Spring Lake (Spring Lake HS). Hecker is being honored for a second time.

All-MIAA second team honorees include junior Meredith Busman of Coopersville (Coopersville HS), senior Taylor Mattarella of Traverse City (Traverse City Central HS), junior Sheri McCormack of Holland (West Ottawa HS) and freshman Julia Stock of Spring Lake (Grand Haven HS).

MEN'S GOLF
Sophomore Collin Breit (Muskegon/West Michigan Christian HS) achieved All-MIAA first team recognition by finishing fifth in the seasonal standings behind a 76.0 strokes per round average. 

WOMEN'S GOLF
For the second straight year, senior Charlotte Park of Grosse Pointe (Grosse Pointe South HS) and sophomore Brittany Haight of Otsego (Otseog HS) achieved All-MIAA first honors as they finished fourth and fifth respectively in the seasonal standings. Park was also presented the league's sportsmanship award.

VOLLEYBALL
Four Hope volleyball players have received coaches' all-conference honors in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Named to the All-MIAA team first team were senior Greer Bratschie (Grand Rapids/East Grand Rapids HS), sophomore Jenna Grasmeyer (Hudsonville/Unity Christian HS), and junior Mari Schoolmaster (Portage/Portage Central HS). Bratschie is being honored for a third time while Grasmeyer is being recognized for the second year. Senior Jessica Maier (Grandville/Jenison HS) was named the Defensive Player of the Year and received All-MIAA second team honors.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Four members of the Hope women's soccer team have been named to the Michiogan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference teams. Named to the All-MIAA first team were sophomore forward Lindsey Bieri of Holland (Holland Christian HS) and sophomore forward Courtney Schmidt of Lowell (Lowell HS). Named to the All-MIAA second team were sophomore Erin Jipping of Holland (West Ottawa HS) and senior Lindsay Jipping of Jenison (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS). Erin Jipping was being honored on the second team for a second year.

FOOTBALL
The 2012 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference football teams include 10 Hope players, five on the first team and five on the second. Junior linebacker Tim Klaus (Saugatuck/Saugatuck HS) has been named to the first defensive team for a second year. First-time honorees on the first team include junior tight end Connor Parcell (Cadillac/Cadillac HS), sophomore offensive tackle Joe Droppers (Kalamazoo/Portage Northern HS), junior defensive back Santino DiCesare (Dorr/Wayland HS), and freshman punter Dean DeVries (Grand Rapids/Grandville HS). Second team honorees include junior quarterback Michael Atwell (Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo HS), junior tailback Shawn Jackson (Comstock Park/Comstock Park HS), sophomore wide receiver Taylor Brynaert (Washington/Romeo HS), junior placekicker Evan Finch (Ann Arbor/Pioneer HS); and junior return specialist Reggie Duncan (Williamston/Williamston HS).
