HOLLAND -- In Honor of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Hope College athletics invites middle school girls to attend a special evening of events to celebrate the energy and the sports achievements of girls and women on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

The event is free, but advance registration is needed.

The activities will begin at 5:15 p.m. at the college's Dow Center, corner of 13th St. and Columbia Ave. in Holland. Participants will play and learn from Hope College female athletes and mentors.

The program will begin with an hour of sports game play and activities led by Flying Dutch athletes and coaches.

A pizza dinner will be provided.

A National Girls and Women in Sports Day t-shirt and drawstring backpack will be given to those who have pre-registered.

Each participants will be given two tickets to the Hope versus Olivet women's basketball game later that evening. Tipoff at DeVos Fieldhouse will be 7:30 p.m.
