Hope College staff members were recognized for service during the college’s annual service award luncheon, held on Monday, Feb. 18, at the Haworth Inn and Conference Center.

Honored as retirees were Kathleen O'Connor, office of the department of history, 19 years; Barbara Scholten, office of the department of education, 22 years; Joy Ortiz, office of the department of economics, management and accounting, 29 years; Karen Barr, office of admissions, 31 years; and Phyllis Kleder Hooyman, office of financial aid, 38 years.

Honored for 45 years of service were Tom Renner, public and community relations; and Maria C. Tapia, computing and information technology.

Recognized for 35 years were Rick Middlecamp, physical plant; and Cheryl McGill Schairer, office of the dean for the social sciences.

Marking 30 years of service were Elizabeth Colburn, Upward Bound; Richard Ray, provost’s office; Maura M. Reynolds, registrar’s office; Pauline Rozeboom, computing and information technology; Paula J. Shaughnessy, Hope-Geneva Bookstore; and Edna M. Zeeff, physical plant.

Honored for 25 years of service were Abraham Z. Anaya, computing and information technology; Steven L. Bareman, computing and information technology; Karen Bos, public and community relations; Sharon K. Hoogendoorn, registrar’s office; David R. James, Academic Support Center; Douglas L.
