The Women’s Chamber Choir of Hope College, along with the college’s Luminescence and 12th Street Harmony vocal ensembles, will perform on Monday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The popular close-harmony groups 12th Street Harmony and Luminescence will perform a mixture of a cappella selections, both modern and traditional.

The Women’s Chamber Choir will sing in French, Italian and Tamil, accompanied by piano, oboe and horn, and including words from the Song of Solomon, Dante’s “Purgatory,” and maritime folk songs celebrating beauty, the afterlife, and a beloved pet duck.

The Women’s Chamber Choir, established in 2001, is an auditioned group of 20-25 Hope students.  The group is directed by Jennifer Wolfe, adjunct assistant professor of music.

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church is located at 195 W. 13th St., on the corner of 13th Street and Maple Avenue.
