Multiple programs at Hope College are working together to sponsor a goods drive for Child Development Services of Ottawa County Inc, and are hoping to involve members of the Holland community in making contributions as well.

The “Stuff the Bus” drive, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 9, is seeking household supplies for Child Development Services, which is a local non-profit agency that provides child care and Head Start services to more than 400 children in Ottawa County and northern Allegan County.

Donations will be collected on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a bus parked in the central campus, on the southeast side of the Pine Grove near Nykerk Hall of Music, located at the former 12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.

Those willing to donate are asked to bring items from the following list:  diapers, Kleenex, napkins, paper plates, paper towels, toilet paper, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, hand lotion, Q-Tips, shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste, bleach, dish soap, fabric softener, hand soap and laundry detergent.

The sponsoring Hope organizations include Volunteer Services, Greek Life, Residential Life and Campus Ministries.
