The celebration of home athletic events concludes today with men's soccer (5 p.m.), football (7 p.m.). We regret the fireworks show planned for after the football game has been canceled because of the weather.

The exciting action features giveaways and fireworks by “Hometown Week” sponsor Lorence & VanderZwart.

Lorence & VanderZwart is giving away a limited number of passes that will provide admission to all four sporting events during week. Fans can stop by their office at 240 South River Ave. in Holland to pick up a pass as well as a piece of Hope fan gear while supplies last.

“Hometown Week” starts on Tuesday, Oct. 22 when the Hope women’s soccer teams hosts Saint Mary’s College. Kickoff at Van Andel Soccer Stadium is 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the second-ranked Hope volleyball team will host Adrian College for a 6:30 p.m. match on the DeVos Fieldhouse Main Court.

On Saturday, there is a doubleheader beginning with the 5 p.m. Hope men’s soccer match against Adrian at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Then at 7 p.m., the Hope football game plays Kalamazoo College at Ray & Sue Smith Stadium. (We regret the planned fireworks show after the football game has been canceled because of the weather conditions.)

Fans can use their Saturday men’s soccer ticket to gain free admission to the football game.
