The Women’s Chamber Choir and three other vocal ensembles of Hope College will perform on Monday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

As during previous concerts, the Women’s Chamber Choir will be joined by Hope’s popular close-harmony groups, Luminescence and 12th Street Harmony.  This year, the Collegium Musicum will also be singing, directed by Jim DeBoer.

The Women’s Chamber Choir will sing a variety of sacred and secular music, including Irish mouth music, the spiritual “Wade in the Water,” a hauntingly beautiful and harmonically dense “Kyrie eleison” followed by a gospel-style “Gloria,” and other music written specifically for the women’s choir. The choir will be joined by flute, oboe, drum, violin and accompanist Lannette Zylman-TenHave of the Hope staff. The choir will finish with the traditional closing song, “Blessing.”

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church is located at 171 W. 13th St., on the corner of 13th Street and Maple Avenue in Holland.
