Jake Chipka

Hope College’s Jake Chipka has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played through April 6.

Chipka is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

The sophomore from Waterville, Ohio (Anthony Wayne HS), fired a two-hit complete game as he pitched the Flying Dutchmen to a 2-1 victory over Adrian on Saturday.

Chipka walked two batters and struck out four in the contest.
