Hope College women’s basketball player Megan Kelley has been selected for the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Academic-Athletic Women’s Team.

The senior from Rockford, Michigan (Rockford HS), is one of five women’s players across the state honored. Players were chosen from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, and NAIA levels.

To be eligible, players have to be either a starter or an important reserve and have at least a 3.2 grade point average. The BCAM teams are selected on the basis of academic achievement, athletic accomplishments, grade point average and their coach’s BCAM membership.

A mathematics major, she has carried a 4.0 grade point average.

On the court, Kelley helped the Flying Dutch finish 28-1 on the season and claim Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular-season and tournament titles. She averaged 10.3 points per game while starting all 29 games for Hope and being named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year.

In February, Kelley was picked as a College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-American.
