Seniors Collin Breit and Evan Telzerow will captain the Hope College men’s golf team again this upcoming season.
Both captained the 2013-14 Hope men’s golf team that claimed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular-season and postseason titles and tied for 17th place at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships.
Breit, from Muskegon, Michigan (Western Michigan Christian HS), is majoring in chemistry and minoring in Spanish.
Telzerow, from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), is majoring in sociology and minoring in organizational leadership practice.
Hope coach Bob Ebels said Breit and Telzerow bring good leadership, honesty and integrity to the Flying Dutchmen.
“Both of them are hungry to go back to nationals,” Ebels said. “Both are working hard this summer on their games. I rank them with some of the best captains I’ve had.”
Hope tees off the 2014-15 season at the Olivet College Classic on Friday and Saturday, August 29 and 30.
