Several members of the Hope College history faculty will participate in the panel event “Nineteen Fourteen:  Entering an Age of Crisis,” offering global perspectives on World War I, on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Fried-Hemenway Auditorium of the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication. The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The presenters, two of whom teach courses on the war, will offer their thoughts on aspects of the 1914-18 conflict in Africa, France, Britain, China, Germany, Austria-Hungary and the United States. Following the presentations there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

The Martha Miller Center for Global Communication is located at 257 Columbia Ave., at the corner of Columbia Avenue and 10th Street.
