The Hope College Wind Ensemble will present its annual Halloween concert on Friday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The Wind Ensemble will be joined during the event this year by the Chamber Winds and Saxophone Quartet, with the performers in costume.  The audience is also encouraged to come in costume, and candy will be available at the end of the concert.

The Wind Ensemble will perform “Dusk” by Steven Bryant, “Tanczi” by Jan Van der Roost, “Benediction” by John Stevens and “Crystals” by Thomas C. Duffy.  The group will be directed by Brian Coyle, professor of music and director of jazz studies.

The Chamber Winds will perform “Patrol,” “After Heine” and “Verse,” all by HK Gruber.  Coyle will be the director.

The Saxophone Quartet will perform “Quatuor pour saxophones: Misterioso” by Ida Gotkovsky and “Nuages: scherzo for saxophone quartet” by Eugene Bozza.  The quartet will be directed by Adam Briggs, instructor of saxophone.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
