Tonight's vocal jazz concert has been canceled because of the winter storm event.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE CANCELED CONCERT

The students will perform: “It Had To Be You,” by Isham Jones; “Comes Loves,” by Sam H. Stept, Lew Brown, and Charles Tobias; “Nature Boy,” by Eden Ahbez; “Ain’t No Sunshine,” by Bill Withers; “At Last,” by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren; “Autumn Leaves,” by Joseph Kozma and Jacques Prèvert; “No More Blues,” by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Jon Hendricks; “Lullaby of Birdland,” by George Shearing and George David Weiss; “Night and Day,” by Cole Porter; “My Funny Valentine,” by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart; “Easy to Love,” by Cole Porter; and “Autumn in New York,” by Vernon Duke.

The students are directed by Edye Hyde.  Hyde, an instructor of vocal jazz at Hope, has been teaching and performing jazz, blues and pop music for more than 20 years in West Michigan, Los Angeles, and parts of Asia.

Nykerk Hall of Music is located in the central Hope campus at the former 127 E. 12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.
