Five leaders from the community will discuss how to overcome problems that women face in the modern workplace during the panel presentation “Women in Leadership: How to Find Success in the Workplace” on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m. in Cook Auditorium of the De Pree Art Center.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

Panelists include Susan Im, an immigration lawyer with her own law firm, ImLaw; Darlene Lee, a leadership strategist and CEO of Darling Communications; Gail Scott, a human resource and healthcare executive at MorningStar Health; Willa Shalit, an activist who has worked with women in post-conflict zones such as Palestine, Rwanda and Haiti; and Jodi Vanderwel, who has served as president of Grand Angels since 2005.

The event is sponsored by the Program of Women’s and Gender Studies.  The panel was organized by Alissa Heynen (’18) of Ada as part of her coursework for the Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies class.

The De Pree Art Center is located at 160 E. 12th St., on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street.
