The Hope College Wind Ensemble will present “An Eclectic Evening of Folk and Not-So-Folk Music” on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited.  Admission is free.

The concert will feature “Folk Song Suite,” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; “Fall On My Knees,” by Abigail Washburn; “Cajun Folk Songs,” by Frank Ticheli; “Florence,” by A.P. Carter; “Folk Dances,” by Dmitri Shostakovich ed. H. Robert Reynolds; “The Tourist,” by Thom York; “Benediction,” by John Stevens; “Canzona per sonare No. 2,” by Giovanni Gabrieli; “Petite Symphonie,” by Charles Gounod; and “Slumber My Darling,” by Stephen Foster.

The concert will be directed by Dr. Brian Coyle, professor of music, and include the Wind Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Brass Choir, and Folk Ensemble.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
