Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

Sophomore Harrison Blackledge scored a team-high 24 points for the Hope College men's basketball team in an 83–77 loss at Calvin on Wednesday in Grand Rapids.

The Flying Dutchmen saw their season-high, six-game win streak snapped in the 190^th game in The Rivalry. Hope fell to 13–7 overall and out of a first-place tie in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play with a 6–3 league record.

Hope still leads the all-time series by a 98–92 margin. Hope returns to action on Saturday, February 7, at Albion. Tipoff is 3 pm.
