Hope College women’s lacrosse players Molly Greenfield and Mackenzie Schumborg have swept Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association weekly honors for games played through March 22.

Greenfield is the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week, while Schumborg is the league’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Greenfield, a senior from Georgetown, Tex. (Georgetown HS), scored five goals and picked up six groundballs during Hope’s spring trip, in which they played three strong East Coast teams.

Greenfield is credited with leading her team on both sides of the field and creating scoring opportunities for teammates.

Greenfield is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time this season and third time in her career.

Schumborg, a junior from Ann Arbor (Saline HS), scooped up nine ground balls and caused three turnovers in three games against strong East Coast teams during Hope’s spring trip.

Schumborg is credited with strong leaderships on the field, helping the Flying Dutch defense adjust with strategies to defend highly-skilled offense.

Schumborg is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
