Three Hope College softball players have received all-region recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Two are Central Region second-team honorees: junior centerfielder Autumn Anderson of Dorr, Michigan (Wayland HS), and senior designated player Julie Sobieski of St. Charles, Illinois (St. Charles East HS).

Freshman second baseman Sierra Mutschler of Wayland, Michigan (Wayland HS), is a Central Region third-team honoree.

The three helped Hope post a 29-11 overall record this season and advance to the finals of the Lake Forest, Illinois region in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Anderson batted leadoff and topped the Flying Dutch with a .460 batting average.

Anderson led Hope with 58 hits, 42 runs scored and 23 stolen bases in 24 attempts.

Sobieski hit .402 with eight home runs that was third highest in a lineup that hit a school-record 38. She also was third on the team with 37 RBI. 

Mutschler tied the school record with 10 home runs. She batted .357. Her 39 RBI were the second-most on the team.
