Hope College forward Maura McAfee is one of five players on the D3hoops.com NCAA Division III Preseason All-America First Team.
The senior from Midland, Michigan (Midland HS) joins Thomas More guard Sydney Moss, Howard Payne guard Danyel Bradley, Eastern Mennonite forward Jess Rheinheimer and Farleigh Dickinson-Florham forward Shalette Brown on the first team.

McAfee heads into the 2015-16 season needing 38 points to become the Flying Dutch's 14th 1,000-point career scorer. The school career record of 1,568 belongs to Amanda Kerkstra (1999-2003).
McAfee ranks sixth with 750 career rebounds. The school record of 934 belongs to Kristin Carlson (1991-95).
As a junior, McAfee led the Flying Dutch to a 25-5 record and sectional semifinal appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
McAfee averaged a career-high 14.4 points per game during the 2014-15 season. She totaled 431 points, tying for fifth in a single-season in Hope history with Carrie Snikkers (2008-09).
McAfee also grabbed a school-record 312 rebounds last season.
